A note from the Co-Founder:
"Today marks two years since the launch of Dandilyonn. In these two short years, this nonprofit has grown and achieved things that I never could have imagined as a small seventh grader. When I started Dandilyonn, I wanted to create something that would really touch other people’s lives and make a difference in my community. Today, Dandilyonn has held multiple art parties to teach the next generation about climate change, wrote dozens of blogs and sold shirts to raise awareness, held a successful walkathon, and donated $1200 to help fight climate change. And I’m immensely proud of it all.

But it’s also left me with some memories that I’ll never forget. Reminders to me of the reasons why I’m so passionate about this cause, and why I will never stop fighting for it. I remember at our first art party, a little girl was heartbroken that her favorite food (strawberries) could disappear because of climate change and with wide eyes brimming with tears, she pledged that she would do her part in stopping it. Or, the thoughts of the countless kids that have come up and asked me how they can start something of their own, how they can make a difference in this world, and I’m overjoyed that I have been able to inspire youth to actually want to take the time and do something good.

In short, I’d like to thank you all for supporting Dandilyonn in this journey so far, but moreover, for supporting our planet and our home. Yes, this fight has not been won yet, but Dandilyonn promises to keep on fighting for the years to come. Happy two years to the Dandilyonn Community!"
