Dandilyonn's 3-Step Approach
Youth EducationYounger children generally need hands-on learning to understand new concepts. Enter Dandilyonn art parties, events that encourages children to learn about climate change through arts and crafts e.g. homemade solar ovens as well as our newly published children's books!
More teen focused is the Dandilyonn blog, a weekly updated page on current climate change news and issues (click here for information about how you can submit your own article!) And, our SEEDS program encourages college-aged women to get involved in tech and fight climate change all at once. |
FundraisingTo fundraise for Al Gore's Climate Reality Project, Dandilyonn hosted our first ever walkathon. In addition to raising funds, it was a statement that the Dandilyonn Community will never stand down in this fight against climate change.
Additionally, Dandilyonn created the clothing line Greenlyonn, tees with eco-friendly messages to raise both awareness and money for the community (now sold out). Our children's books Ella and the Animal Express and Sheldon, Your Shell! also raises money for various national environmental organizations. |
Direct Action
As part of their campaign to create an eco-friendly community, Dandilyonn hosted Elements, a multi-cultural dance extravaganza to raise funds for proving new eco-friendly lights to local high schools. The show raised awareness about climate change and promoted clean energy, provided important learning opportunities for students, and saved vast amounts of money for the schools.
OUR IMPACT
Everything Dandilyonn has done to fight climate change, both in numbers and in the hearts of the community.
