Through our dance show fundraiser, Elements, Dandilyonn supported two of our local high schools: Mission San Jose High School and Notre Dame San Jose. We assisted them in replacing their energy-draining light bulbs with new bulbs which were more efficient, eco-friendly, and much cheaper in the long run. Mission San Jose is a high school in the FUSD district that focuses on pushing students to achieve academic and extracurricular excellence. Notre Dame San Jose is a Catholic high school in Downtown San Jose that strives to produce women of impact. Dandilyonn is proud to be making Bay Area a more eco-friendly place.
College of Adaptive Arts
Our co-founder Ojaswee dedicated her Kathak solo to the College of Adaptive Arts, whose vision is to "empower adults with special needs to creatively transform perception of disability,” (read more about CAA). Ojaswee worked with DeAnna Pursai, the co-founder of CAA, to plan and host an hour-long dance workshop for the students of the college. Dandilyonn and CAA both believe in art's incredible abilities to create change by connecting with others. To give CAA as much support as possible as they moved into their new building, Ojaswee donated $2500 towards new eco-friendly renovations. Dandilyonn greatly admires the work they do everyday and is proud to call the CAA our partner.

Fremont Cultural Arts Council
One of Dandilyonn’s oldest partners is the Fremont Cultural Arts Council. In 2017, the Dandilyonn team met Margaret Thornberry, FCAC’s Outreach director, who published an article about Dandilyonn’s recent walk-a-thon in the Tri-City Newsletter and connected us with Grace Karr, FCAC’s Educational Liaison/STEAM director. Ms. Karr was hosting a STEAM Fair for the first time and kindly invited Dandilyonn to help plan and participate in the event. Since then, Dandilyonn has hosted a booth at the Art in the Park STEAM Fair with a new project every year. We've built solar ovens, paper pinwheels, planted succulents, and even played a life-size climate-change-themed board game with our community. As the attendance of the fair has grown, so has the Dandilyonn community and we are so grateful for this recurring opportunity. Learn more about the FCAC here.
