A New Decade Begins...

A new decade has begun and the Dandilyonn team is ready to get to work! This year, we’re hoping to expand the Dandilyonn community even more, increasing teenage awareness and involvement as the next generation of climate change activists. If you’re looking to pursue an environmental project, and earn a few service hours, this is the place for you! Dandilyonn will be opening up more opportunities in 2020 to make your passions possible. (We’ll be sharing more information about the options described below soon.)

• Teen Activist Blog Series. We’ll be posting pieces written by Dandilyonn volunteers, teenagers who are highly motivated to research climate issues and share their findings with others. Not only do these writers raise awareness in themselves and their communities, they also earn service hours! Interested? Official instructions of how you can get involved are coming soon!

• Project proposals. Are you passionate about an environmental idea and need a registered nonprofit to make it happen? A sign up form where you can explain your plan will soon be updated on our site.
• Climate workshops. In the coming year, we’ll be introducing teen-catered events, such as our Packaging Workshop on Jan 12. Join this session with a StopWaste certified climate change instructor, who has experience in teaching about a variety of environmental topics such as composting and efficient packaging. • ​And of course, we can’t forget our past events. Keep a lookout for another year of art parties for kids, environmental stands, SEEDS (Summer Environmental Education Development Program), articles on the upcoming election/other current issues, and more!
